Yolo – Branding


After understanding the brand, and deciding the creative direction, I started exploring multiple concepts to get to the one chosen.

The wordmark is a sans serif font based logo, customized to get the feeling wanted, the letter ‘Y’ is customized to communicate creativity and energy which are some of the brand attributes, the logo is designed in a simple way for recognition. 

The brandmark is inspired from the logotype, the same letter ‘Y’ inside a circle, the circle symbolise happiness, and that’s a part of the whole vibe of Yolo.


The color system was based on choosing contrasted colors that communicate energy and creativity. Vibrant colors to evoke and show Yolo’s personality. 

A diverse color palette to show diversity, the color palette can be expanded more. Strong vibrant colors to communicate passion.


Nunito (Black) font: Sans serif font, with rounded edges, a friendly look and feel. Since the logo also has rounded edges. This font is perfect to preserve visual consistency. –To be used for Headings.

Manrope (Regular) font: A modern and clear sans serif font to be paired with Nunito, this font is added to balance the type system.
